Patient education & navigation

You've been dismissed, misdiagnosed, and told to manage your stress. That ends here.

Whether you have a diagnosis or just a feeling that something is wrong — you deserve answers. The Informed Patient Co. gives you the tools, education, and guidance to stop being dismissed and start being heard.

Madeline's story

At 28, I had undergone three colonoscopies for symptoms I always assumed were related to Crohn's disease. Every biopsy came back normal. Meanwhile I was dealing with cysts on my ovaries at every ultrasound, painful and heavy periods, and bowel issues that had persisted for over three years.

"Manage your stress." That was the answer I kept getting. Until it wasn't good enough anymore.

After my colonoscopies, more than one doctor told me everything looked normal and I shouldn't come back until I was 40. So I was supposed to just live with this pain for another decade with no answers? That wasn't going to work.

It wasn't until I brought up the possibility of endometriosis to my OBGYN that someone finally validated the frustration and money I had poured into my health. I had already started pursuing pelvic floor therapy on my own — because I had to figure it out myself.

I'm a health information systems specialist with a master's in biomedical informatics concentrated in clinical informatics. I understand both the patient experience and the systems that shape healthcare. The Informed Patient Co. is where those two worlds meet — built from lived experience and grounded in years of working in health information.

Nobody should have to navigate this alone. That's what The Informed Patient Co. is built to change.
